Kid's Summer Camp (05-30-2006)
Full Description:
Summer Camp Session I begins May 30 and continues until June 9 at Deering Estate, 16701 SW 72 Avenue. Kids ages 6 to 14 get hands-on experience in natural history, supplemented with archaeology lessons taken from the on-site Tequesta burial ground. The camp also introduces campers to architecture and to a unique ecosystem where kids may be able to catch a glimpse of some rare flora and fauna. The cost is $270 for the 2-week session. Camp begins at 9:00 am and concludes at 4:30 pm, before and after camp care available for an additional charge. Call 305-235-1668 ext 242 for more information.
