Have you lost your pet? CHECK THE ANIMAL SERVICES SHELTER EVERY DAY!! The shelter is located at 7401 Northwest 74 Street. Lost pets come into the facility all day long, EVERYSINGLEDAY! WHEN YOU LOSE YOUR PET, IMMEDIATELY CALL THE SHELTER (305-884-1101, xt. 241...or dial 311, 24 hours a day), to file a "Lost Pet Report" by phone, then go to the facility and look through the kennels in person! Bring color photographs of your pet (for proof and identification), and attach color photos to your Lost Pet Flyer (that will stay hanging at the shelter when you're not there)!! On your flyer, offer a REWARD for your pet's recovery! At the shelter, ask the people at the front counter to take you to see the injured and ill pets! YOUR PET COULD BE IN THIS SPECIAL OFF-LIMITS AREA. Ask them to show you the "daily deceased animal log." It's difficult...but you want closure for your family. Remember -- pets at the shelter are only held for FIVE days...then they are put up for adoption -- if they are healthy and not exhibing any behavioral issues... FACT: Most pets are NEVER reunited with their families because owners don't look for them at the shelter, pets that come in aren't wearing collars or current identification tags, and pets' microchips (if they have them) are not REGISTERED!
